Call For Entries: Open House 4 - 2011

10th March – 3rd April 2011

A unique group exhibition of Cork artists

Opening Thursday 10th March at 7pm

To celebrate the creative energy of artists living and working in the Cork area Sirius Arts Centre is once again inviting artists to exhibit in a unique group exhibition.  Admission is open to artists over the age of 18,  working in a variety of materials, there is a submission charge of €10 per artist. All work must be wall based for this exhibition.

There is no theme to this exhibition, but there are restrictions regarding work submitted as follows:
  • Art works will be accepted on a first come, first served basis (spase is limited).
  • Artists must contact Sirius (021 481 3790) from Monday the 7th February to book their place in the exhibition.
  • Drop-off of the works will be on Friday the 4th and Saturday the 5th of March  between 11am – 4.30pm (only for artists who have booked their place in the exhibition) a €10 fee must be paid at time of delivery.
  • Artists must be living & working in the Cork area and 18 years of age or over.
  • Due to space limitations artwork can be no bigger than 80cm/32” inches in either direction and be ready for hanging.
  • Each artist may submit no more than 2 pieces of artwork and works must not have been shown at the Sirius in the past.

Hanging will be done at the discretion of Sirius Arts Centre. As many works as possible will be hung though this will be dependant on the quality and the amount of work submitted as space is limited in the Sirius Galleries.

Exhibition opening reception will take place on Thursday 10th March at 7pm

Exhibition runs until Sunday 3rd April.
