Action packed plans commencing for Cobh's 2011 events

The Cobh Calls collective are back on track and planning the 2011 calendar.
This year there is plenty for visitors and locals alike to do and see on our Great Island.
The Summer Swing will be kicking off on 30th April when the magnificent Celebrity Eclipse will dock in Cobh overnight.


On 1st May as the Eclipse departs one of our regular visitors The Independence of the Seas will arrive for an overnight visit. There will be lots of family entertainment including the very popular carousel for the children and a variety of musical performances throughout the two days.

 The Lusitania and the Titanic Commemorations are also being planned for April and May and St. Colman’s Pipe Band are hosting the South of Ireland Piping and Drumming Contest in June.
Following the success of the first International Tattoo Festival last year, Phil Cummins is busy putting together a full programme for this year’s weekend Festival for the June Bank Holiday.
Cobh Peoples Regatta – the oldest and best regatta in Ireland, will take place in August while there will be art exhibitions and concerts at the Sirius Arts Centre. The Cobh Blues Experience - when Cobh comes alive to the rhythm of the blues and the International Deep Sea Angling Festival will be hosted in September and there will be lots more on right up to Santas visit in December.
